The S&P 500 futures are up 12 points and are trading 0.3% above fair value. The Nasdaq 100 futures are up 43 points and are trading 0.3% above fair value. The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are up 67 points and are trading 0.2% above fair value.

True to 2023 form market participants have been inclined to buy on weakness, setting stocks up to stage a rebound following yesterday's sell off. Pre-open gains in many of the mega caps have supported the broader market this morning.

The weekly MBA Mortgage Applications Index declined 3.1% with purchase applications falling 3.0% and refinance applications dropping 4.0%.

The 2-yr Treasury note yield is up four basis points to 4.79% and the 10-yr note yield is up one basis point to 4.04%.

In other news, the Italian government plans to limit the impact of the windfall profit tax on banks, according to the FT.
