Stock futures are flattish in front of the July Employment Situation Report at 8:30 a.m. ET. Apple (AAPL) sports a decent loss in pre-open action following its earnings report, which is weighing on the broader market. A jump in shares of Amazon (AMZN) on its earnings report, meanwhile, is providing some offsetting support.
Treasury yields are little changed from yesterday's settlement levels. Following the recent rise in yields, market participants will be focused on how Treasuries react to the employment data. The 2-yr note yield is up two basis points to 4.92% and the 10-yr note yield is unchanged at 4.18%.
